The following email was received regarding a charitable kendo tournament scheduled in September:

Greetings,

We are proud to announce the SGT Luis Rosa-Valentin Charity Kendo
Tournament for the Wounded Warrior Project on September 20, 2008 in
the Meade Senior High School gym at Fort Meade, Maryland.

Maryland area Kendo clubs are coming together to honor a local soldier
wounded in Iraq and benefit the Wounded Warrior Project with a
tournament.

You may have read Luis's story in the New York Times or in the Laurel
Gazette. While leading a patrol on the streets of Baghdad, Luis was
hit by an IED that took his left arm, his legs, and his hearing. Two
months later, Luis is now an outpatient and plans on walking within
the next two to three months. For additional information on Luis,
check out his website at
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/luisrosavalentin

The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose purpose
is to raise public awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs
of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured
service members to aid and assist each other, and to provide unique,
direct programs and services to meet their needs. Information
regarding the Wounded Warrior Project is available at their website:
http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org

Hold the date and join us for this tournament! Look for additional information and registration forms in the near future.

Please forward this email to anyone who might be interested in the tournament and in helping the Wounded Warrior Project.

Thanks,

Joshua Hubbell
